Renovation FAQs

How long will my renovation take?

It depends on scope. A bathroom typically takes 3-4 weeks, a kitchen 4-6 weeks, and extensions 8-16 weeks. We provide a detailed timeline before you commit.

Can I stay in my home during the renovation?

Usually yes. We plan the work to minimise disruption — temporary kitchen setups for kitchen renovations, staged bathroom work where possible. We will discuss this during planning.

Do I need a building consent?

Kitchens and bathrooms typically do not need consent unless structural changes are involved. Extensions and significant structural work will require consent — we handle the application process.

What happens when you find hidden problems?

It happens — especially in older Kapiti homes. We document and photograph any issues found, discuss options and costs with you before proceeding, and never do undiscussed work.

Do you provide fixed-price quotes?

Yes. Our quotes cover the agreed scope in full. If additional work is discovered, we discuss it with you and provide a variation quote before proceeding.
